Make a difference in the life of a child by volunteering one week of your time to be a Study Buddies Tutor. If more people volunteer to tutor, more children can be served in the Study Buddies program. Volunteers are matched with students to work one-to-one each 12-week semester. Substitute tutors are also needed. Student and adult volunteers must be in the 9th grade or older. Volunteer candidates need to fill out an application form, complete three reference checks, pass a screening through the Nebraska Child Abuse/Neglect Central Registry, and complete a one-hour tutor training before tutoring children in the Study Buddies Program.
