BECOME A VOLUNTEER:
Whether you’re a student or an adult there are volunteer opportunities for all. Here’s how you can make a difference just by volunteering1 hour a week:
- Mentor a student through the TeamMates Program.
- Become a Study Buddies Tutor, assisting a child in 1st through 5th grade with reading or math. (High School youth and adults volunteers needed)
- If you’re a young person join a community service project through the Youth As Resources Program. (Open to all Middle School and High School students)
- Be a club leader or assistant at an After School Program for Middle School students.
- Pledge to be a Safe Home and take action by joining others working to reduce underage alcohol use in Otoe County.
- Parents and youth can partner in their efforts to reduce underage drinking in their community by joining the PACT committee.
- Advocate for abused and neglected children involved with cases through the Otoe County CASA program.
- Assist with childcare or the evening meal during Strengthening Families workshops. (High School youth and adult volunteers needed)
- Youth and adults can become a “Partners 4 Otoe County” coalition member, contributing your input and advice toward services for all Otoe County youth and families.
